It is with great enthusiasm that I share this news with you! My illustration of the “Brain Aneurysm” received the Junceda Award in the category of Scientific Illustration. My heart does not fit in my chest with joy and gratitude!

.

The Junceda Awards are organized each year by APIC Associació Professional d’Il·lustradors de Catalunya.
This illustration was made for the final project of the Illustrated Dissections course of the academy ILLUSTRACIENCIA, taught by the talented Illustrator Giselle Vitali.

This illustration represented a great effort to draw every detail, to know the subject in depth, apply a graphic style and a composition that were aesthetically attractive and at the same time with a very rigorous message, easy to understand. It would not be possible without the knowledge and feedback of Giselle, and the corrections of the anatomist Daniel Casanova. Thank you so much for everything!!

.

For several years I have worked as a designer and illustrator, while looking for which of the specialized areas of illustration best suited me. I fell in love with scientific illustration, and this award is the sign that I chose my path well and it is also the responsibility to learn, draw and illustrate more and more for the communication of science.

.

Many thanks to APIC, the jury and all the teachers who have taught me this way. ILLUSTRACIENCIA, Visions – Ilustración y Caligrafia.
It is a great honor to be among such talented finalists, Aurora Portillo and Jordi Corbera, and also all the finalists and participants of the Awards!
