Craniofacial muscles
It’s been a pleasure to be able to contribute my muscular anatomy illustrations to Alice Daffonchio’s @thefaceyogalab new book, titled “Yoga Facial Consciente”, published by Larousse España.
It’s been a pleasure to be able to contribute my muscular anatomy illustrations to Alice Daffonchio’s @thefaceyogalab new book, titled “Yoga Facial Consciente”, published by Larousse España.
These scientific illustrations, which accompany the book’s text, show the head and neck muscles that are worked with the techniques explained by the author.
My goal was to create images that were simultaneously informative and aesthetically appealing. We weren’t looking for a hyperrealistic style, but rather something with a personal, elegant, and feminine touch that perfectly complemented the essence of the book. The illustrations feature three different views of the head and neck, highlighting key muscles such as the orbicular, the masseter, the platysma, and the sternocleidomastoid, among others, with a complementary color.
I felt right at home with this project, as I was able to merge scientific precision with artistic expression, demonstrating muscle location in a clear and visually compelling way.
