Cover illustration for doctoral thesis

Many congratulations to Águeda Castro Quintas for the defense of her outstanding doctoral thesis, with the title “Biological mechanisms underlying psychosocial stress response: The consequences of prenatal maternal distress and childhood maltreatment on the endocrine and immune systems”, in the Doctoral Program in Biomedicine of the University of Barcelona.

Águeda is a researcher aware of the importance of the way her research and results are transmitted and communicated, and to do so she has trusted my hand to illustrate the front and back covers of her doctoral thesis. It has been an excellent and pleasant collaboration, where we have exchanged ideas and sketches to conceptually reflect the topics that she deals with in her research, and we are very proud of the result.
